Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday sent a congratulatory letter to the first annual Qingdao Multinationals Summit held in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province.

Xi said, in the historical process of China's reform and opening up for more than 40 years, multinational corporations have played an active role as important participants, witnesses and beneficiaries.

He stressed, the door of China's opening-up will open wider and wider, China's business environment will be better and better, and the opportunities created for global multinational companies will be more and more.

China welcomes global entrepreneurs to invest in China, to strive to achieve mutual benefit and create a better future together, Xi added.

Being held in the coastal town of Qingdao, the summit is taking place from Saturday to Monday.
